MCR concert in a few hours time :)
today schedule damn hectic. started by meeting priscilla at 1.30 (supposed to be 12.30, but she changed to 1, then i arrived late. haha) at bugis to go to bras basah to search for items to decorate the cell group appreciation awards. got a few acrylic paints and a marker with gold on one side and silver on the other :)
after buy those stuff we headed to raffles place to help jess buy something, before going to redhill to pass it to her and pick up the undecorated awards. i got to look at the phones her father bought from china, got one damn cool. haha, no sony ericsson phones though :(
afterwards pris and i went over to her house with the intention of decorating, ended up slacking instead. i looked through her entire vcd collection. well, let's just say it's a good thing daniel wasn't there. stacks and stacks CDs. he he. waited for jon to arrive, and we continued slacking until jackson came, and still trying to postpone doing work, we played around and amde some "guesswork". haha. afterwards we finally got down to decorating. there'll be a sneak preview later on. haha.
had a great time with the 3 of them. come to think of it, the 4 of us never really got together before. well, first time for anything, right? decorated, went for dinner, overheated a hairdryer along the way. macdonald's is damn lazy. just because of a little bit of rain they refused to do delivery, even after the rain stopped. well, it's their loss. wasted our time though, we walked a long way to the coffeeshop and a long way back. i must say that i'm quite impressed and satisfied at our progress. haha.
jon's grandfather picked both of us up and dropped me at kvan mrt, and all too familiar place. haha. and yes, i said grandfather. jon, he's like, 70+ already, but still driving around in a van! how cool is that! he looks like he's 50, 60 at most. sigh, one of my grandfather is dead, the other one is 90+ year old and can's speak english or chinese, and i can't speak hokkien. damn, i don't have grandparent's love. haha. my grandma rocks though, still kickin' at 60 something, whipping up fantastic dishes along the way. tian xia zhi you po po hao, you po de hai zhi.. er, la la la.
and here's a preview of our work. we do till damn shag, so please appreciate it, w450!
actually jon posed for this photo. before it we were slacking and watching heroes on channel 5. shhh.........
so there you have it, my day. haha. would end here, but there's something i wanna say as a spectator.
a blog is for you to share your experiences with people you know, and maybe even don't know. through it you can let people have a glimpse of your thoughts, perceptions, experiences, etc. blogs are made for the purpose of being seen by everyone, and anyone who objects to that idea claiming passwords might help is a retard. you don't post something you don't want people to read.
that being said, i have to agree that blogs are personal. people edit the template to make it look like what they want it, thereby giving people a glimpse into their minds. others just blantantly rip off people's skins, and some don't even acknowledge the ones who made it. that however is not the point. the point is that some people take blogs too personally. they write out every single thing that comes to their mind. some good, but occasionally some bad, be it racist remarks, defaming comments, and so on. the trouble starts when people go for personal attacks, saying things that they know will affect specific people, and with no intention of doing good. they can say things that hurt people, and when confronted, they make remarks about how their blog is just that, their blog, and they could post anything they wanted, and that if people don't like it then they can just not read it. this is about the most childish behaviour i know. yes, i admit that once i was like that, saying something about my good friend which i'm not really proud of. thankfully i salvaged that relationship, but not all outcomes are the same.
my point is, you can't say something about someone on your blog, even if you didn't specify who, and deny all responsibility by asking that person not to read it. it's like screaming at a five year old kid, and when he starts crying you deny responsibility by saying that he could have covered his ears and not listen.
why am i writing such a long essay on this topic? let's just say that i'm a spectator. i don't like to take sides, but if i'm forced to, then i think i know whose i'll take.

And through it all, the rise and fall...
