it's been a long time since i last posted. saying i didn't have time would be lying, so i'll just say that i couldn't be bothered.

anyways, what has happened in my life since i last posted? well, alot, yet nothing much at all, depending on how you see things. just me, going through life, screwing up along the way.

here's one of my more major screw-ups.

the deadline for the online registration for enrollment into TP was 26th march, 5pm. that day, i woke up at 3.30pm. i hadn't settled some of my forms, not everything was accounted for, and by the time i actually completed them it was almost 10pm (yea, i tend to delay in my work). imagine my surprise when min (i asked her to help me do the registration over the phone, since you needed to print the thing and my printer ran out of "gas".) told me that the deadline had been crossed. i actually thought it was around 28th to 31st.

so i did what i'd normally do in such a situation. i freaked out (well, not freaking out freaking out, just in my head, although there were some controlled physical actions. i threw my beloved k800i into the pillow. might not sound like much, but sometimes when i throw stuff on my bed it gets rebounded and hits the solid cupboard or fall off the bed and hit the even more solid floor.) pushed my brother off the com to send an email there, which, as it turned out, didn't get sent to them because i used the wrong subject title. so i prayed, went to bed, and got up the next morning, something i usually don't do these days. i prefer 10 to 13 hour sleeps.

so anyways, got up, did everything i had to do, left home and went to TP, where i got a queue number at the "one-stop service centre", and there i waited, and waited, and waited somemore. second time i had to do something like that, the first being the time i went for a medical checkup. when my number was finally being called, i went up to the counter, explained to me the situation, and they told me i had to write a letter. a letter! coming all the way to TP just to write a letter. but good thing i didn't have to step out of TP, put it into the post box, have it transported to their HQ, and sent back to TP, the woman said she could just help me pass it to the principal personally. so long story short, the principal let me do it, and here i am, a student of Temasek Polytechnic. praise God!

oh, i also went to mad jack's with rachel, wj, kok and yuan mei. caused wj a serious headache, i think, me and my "unbelievable" sense of direction. reached mad jack's 48 minutes after we had planned to meet. the four of us had fish and chips, and kok didn't eat anything, cause he was sick of the food. so after the meal, kok stayed there, wj sent yuan mei home, and i sent rachel home. got to her aunt's house, and there i met annabel, her sis. haven't seen her in awhile.

so we talked, and she was telling me how she got transferred to YI and about all her weird teachers, and for some reason i had no clue who she was talking about. rachel did, though, which proved that they existed. so, went home watched tv, came online and watched prison break season 2 on my com. really pisses me off. i got through 18 episodes, and on the VERY LAST ONE, the show stopped at 1.41 minute. last episode! argh! so now, here i am, with sharon coming online at 2.20am. so i'm gonna sign off and chat with her now. haven' really did that in a long while...

went for "encounter" at riverwalk on wednesday. first time i've ever been to the church's riverwalk office. quite nice, i must say, although both the snacks and drinks vending machine there is severely depleted. guess that's what happens when there's no good food around.

i went with rachel. she was the only other person i knew who was going, so i decided to go with her. "encounter" was good, we started from session 2, prayer all the way, had a short break then had session 3, where we watched this video sermon from a guy who came to our church a long time ago. got to see how Pst Kong looked like years ago. hmm...

anyways, the preacher on the video preached so aggressively, but that was nice, cause he wasn't holding back just because he might offend some people. his style was more of "in-your-face", which is scary at first but actually is quite good. he talked about stepping out, how many people walk towards this "invisible line", but very few actually cross it. nice sermon.

gatecrashed rachel's bible study class, gifts of the Holy Spirit, which is like, 2 levels above my current bible study. the lesson was on faith. thank goodness it was a mass class, otherwise i would immediately stick out. not that it mattered though, according to what rachel said, or as rachel's friend put it, "crash lor."

the lesson was good, taught me some useful things. went to the macdonald's at clementi interchange for dinner afterwards. chatted with rachel for a long time, although it didn't really seem that long. rachel is such a great person to hang with (rachel, don't smile yourself mad). she can talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk, but the things she talk about, far from boring you, is actually quite interesting. haven't chatted so long like that for a while. only really realised the time when i checked my watch and it said eleven. so she called her dad, and we talked somemore until her dad came aand fetched her home, with me taking the bus.

next day, aka thursday, aka yesterday, is a day i HAVE to blog about. this post is dedicated to weijian, the guy who always beat me at pool.

i reached bukit batok inter at 2.45, just as i had planned with rachel. rachel, being rachel, only made at appearance at 3.45. not that i mind, trains up my patience. so we slacked around macdonald's, not knowing exactly what to do, waiting for weijian to freaking reply my sms to his whereabouts and when-will-he-arrive-abouts. so ended up, rachel and i watched "The Pursuit of Happyness" (yes, the title is spelled happYness, not "i". refers to a wall mural on of a daycare centre in the movie). the movie was about the struggles of this guy, played by will smith nonetheless, trying to make ends meet. along the way losing his wife and having to take care of his 5-year-old son, while trying desperately to sell bone scanner machines for a living, which gives "slightly clearer images than x-rays, at double the price". in the meantime, he also had to undergo a stockbroker training internship programme which gives no salary whatsoever, and to make the odds near impossible, 20 interns are trained, out of which only one gets hired.

needless to say, this is hollywood, but considering that it's based on a true story, it's really quite inspiring. after the movie, met up with weijian at kfc, and went over to BTP for pool. this is the part of the post which is dedicated to dear weijian.

i played 3 games with him, and unexpectedly, i won 2! woohoo!! first one, he sank the black 8 ball by mistake. next one, i defeated him by my own "pure talent". yea right. he seems slightly more off-form than usual, though, and i had to admit, it was a close finish.he beat me in the first game by four balls. but then again, when you look at it from my angle, I BEAT WEI JIAN! muahaha...

played a few rounds, yuanmei came, and we headed over to madjacks, where along the way, we found out kok isn't working, so our 30% discount was gone, but lucky for us, weijian knew the person behind the counter (apparently he came very often...), so we got it in the end :)

here's a tip, never get the fish baked rice, or any form of baked rice from madjacks. tasteless and stingy serving of cheese...

nothing really eventful happened after that, except that i missed the first episode of prison break 2... zilah, ask danial to lend me!!!

got home, on com, on msn. found out from rachel what winnie's condition was like. sad. what does a cell group do when their leader is down? lucky for us, she got someone to help fill in for her for the time being, but still, hope and pray she recovers quickly.

didn't go out today. woke up at 2pm (woot!) nothing special happened. ah well, not everyday is eventful.

this may shock you, but i'm now part of a choir.

it's a church thing. a guy called benny hinn is coming to our church soon, so we are preparing a choir to sing with him. if i'm correct, there are more than 1000 members in the choir. hanxiang and david have joined me along with daniel in the guys section. girls consist of winnie, sarah, rachel and yuan mei. i think. so now, i think we gotta learn 40 songs. not sure why we need that many...

other recent events, i watched casino royale, 8 mile and *gasp* step up. it's a surprisingly good and non-sissy-ish movie. the male guy dances hip hop :)

also, went out with wj, zilah and yt yesterday to bugis. did nothing much except walk around, none of us buying anything. after that fiez joined us and we headed for novena after walking around some more. went there, did pretty much the same thing before heading down to food junction for dinner. wj and i had fried fish. at 5.60, it's considerably worth the money, seeing as you can a piece of fried fish longer and roughly as wide as my hand (not including the arm, though, in case you die of shock), you get to choose two add-ons, like spaghetti, fries, coleslaw, fried rice and other stuff. the servings are also generous. at the start of the meal, yt commented that she didn't think someone like me would eat a 5.60 meal. well, this was quite worth it, so i'm contented.

that'll be all for now. still waiting for stupid TP to send the stupid letter to me. people from SP already got theirs, i heard. sigh...

i know i've been away for quite some time, but it was only because i was too busy to post anything.

so what happened to me this few days that i wasn't around?

1) i'm unemployed! woohoo! like finally. my last day was supposed to be last sunday, which is yesterday, but it was cancelled and i was replaced by someone else. ah well, who cares, i can't stand another day in that stupid place anyway. the objective of getting this job in the first place had already been met, so no point of me staying any longer. only sad thing is that i couldn't say goodbye to anyone there, as it was quite sudden. ah well, i may go back some day, when the lesbian manager isn't around.

2)BBQ gathering at james' house! i know this was like, so long ago, but i realised i didn't blog about it, so might as well mention it now. got see so many people i haven't seen in a long time. some things happened and long story short, i ended up having to run from james' house to al azhar or whatever that place it to meet up with the others for supper. didn't even got to say goodbye to nani :(

3)orchard outing with james/sharon/meihui/weijian/yuting! i reached our meeting place (buzz) early, so i walked around and saw min heading to BK for bible study. so i tagged along and chatted with her for awhile before winnie arrived, and went back to buzz where i found james and weijian waiting, with james sporting a baby unicorn hairstyle. sharon and meihui arrived, all of us went for breafast, and after that we took a bus to orchard. walked around for like, 1, maybe 2 hours, no one having bought anything. yuting arrived and then we walked around some more, and finally at kakashimaya (sorry kok, i had to say it), meihui bought a bag, sharon bought a pair of shoes and i bought a sweatshirt. yay for me.

so basically that was it, besides having cell group at joann's house cause someone had to go for a camp (lol, just kidding, min). went to expo for service, wherei met winnie's friend who also happens to have a cybershot phone, and he introduced me to a site where i could download free themes for my phone, which is also legal! again, yay for me. the sites had like, literally thousands of different themes, all made by the members of the site. all i had to do was register for free, and start downloading! and after that, i started jumping around the sofa topless yelling at the top of my voice that bugs bunny is a gay. ok, ignore the last sentence, it was just to get your attention again, since you've probably already zoned out when i started talking about the website.

hmm, nothing else to say here. guess i'm gonna go check put more themes for my phone.
