wow, back after a long time. don't worry, i've just been busy over the weeks. then again, who isn't. i'll start updating regularly after the exams..maybe..

a little guilty that i'm using the computer, but since YOU are as well, you're in no position to judge :P

bad news: gotta cut my hair. apparently, some other school's student were barred from taking their o level exams due to long hair. thus, i have to, unfortunately, shorten my hair to an acceptable length...

was hoping i could leave it out till it passed my eye, cause it's at a length whereby the ends keep poking around my eye. cutting off the hair only solves it temporarily, it'll grow out again.. crap.

so, to commemorate the days before my hair is cut, i brought my cam to school to leave some memories of it, as well as take some final pictures in school. only gonna post a few, since my bro's gonna push me off the seat anytime now. for more pics, go to le torros' site.

don't be mistaken, this shot was delibrate. we asked nani to act lonely. haha.

cool girls.

15 dec babies.

girls will always be girls.

gonna miss 4e2...

went for children's church as a volunteer usher for children's day yesterday.

met winnie at 7.40am in bukit batok interchange, before taking the train to boon lay, then taking bus........... until we reached the jurong west church building. went over to the coffeeshop before heading to the building for winnie to get a quick breakfast.

when we reached there (the church, not the coffeeshop), we saw many other people, just like us, wearing red. look to the left, red. look to the right, red. look behind, brighter shade of red, but still red. so we left our bags at one corner, took out our valuables and joined the queue of registering-volunteers.

waited quite a while before we were given our instructions. winnie and i were assigned to different places, thus we were seperated. i got thrown into the Basement 4 level, where the auditorium was. first job, transport some chairs.

doesnt look like much, does it. but when you think about the stairs that were involved.. haha. one guy drop a chair, and it kinda broke or something. i quickly closed the door behind him to let him fix it or something, which he did, seeing as there were no broken chairs the next time i opened the door.

next we were told what to do when the kids arrived. direct them to the front first, before letting them fill the other seats. stood there like an idiot for a LLLOOOOONNNGG time before the kids decided to show up, and when they did, they SHOWED up. it looked like a friggin' flood of children, all pouring in from the sides, the front and the back. and they just sat where they liked. good thing most of them sat in front :)

when the concert started, someone brought a kid to me and asked me to bring him to the toilet. next thing i knew the kid was running off as if it ate rocket jetpacks for breakfast. ran up the stairs, caught him, lost him, ran up, caught him, and this time held on to him. brought him to the lift, went up to first floor, brought him to the toilet, and when he was done he ran out again. by the time i brought him back i was
already panting.

one of our jobs was to get the kids to concentrate on the show. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! which guy actually thought of that, kids concentrating on anything... some kids made me miss some parts of the magic show. not that i care, really, but at least it was slightly entertaining.
better than telling the kids not to stand on the chairs, before seeing them standing on them again. right...in...front...of...me....

finally, the concert ended and i was assigned to the doors, stopping any kids without a parent or had the tag "w12" on them. it was near impossible. the kids came on like a flood again, and only me and another girl were there to check them. sigh.

all in all, it was reasonably fun, though i would never join children's church ministry. volunteer maybe, but never join...
