been offline these few days, cause my bro has been using it, and also because of this STUPID job.

really considering leaving this job because it's so freaking stressful. and now edward is deciding to leave, which means i'll never get to see him there. sigh...

waking up early in the morning (morning shift) or getting home late at night (night shift) is really tiring. ad what's more, IT. IS. ONLY. $4. AN. HOUR. that's like, so pathetic. i could take up rachel's offer and work at her former company at eunos. it may be far, but at i least i don't have to wake up early or go home late.

oh, and here's a small anecdote. in delifrance when you order a sandwich you can choose the fillings, chicken, tuna, seafood or egg. a few days ago i saw that the tuna and chicken were running abit low, so i took a new packets and poured them in. to my horror, i realised that i actually put tuna into the chicken, and i kinda freaked (silently, not shouting out "OH MY GOD!!!"). so i turned around, saw no one looking and quickly started scooping the tuna into the other bowl. when i was halfway done, the big boss suddenly came in, so i had to stop i act naturally, and pray that he doesn't notice the slight colour difference in the chicken filling. of course, by acting natural, it would mean i would have to fill the chicken mixed with tuna with more chicken, and not being able to throw it. so i had no choice, added the chicken and prayed to God that no customer will suddenly realise his chicken tastes like tuna (which, praise the Lord, didn't happen). thank God that all the fillings are thrown out at the end of the day.

alright, enough crao about the job, let's get on to what everyone's been talking about. Grad Night.

well, it seems like my camera is freaking taken away by my parents cause they went to malaysia, so i'll blog about it some other day.

working sucks.

that's all i've gotta say after my first day at delifrance.

firstly, i have to report to the outlet IN HOLLAND VILLAGE at EIGHT, meaning i had to wake up at 6+ just to take the bus there to barely make it on time.

secondly, from tomorrow onwards, all my working days have me turning up there by 6.45, meaning i have to wake up like, oh, what, FOUR?! plus, this week alone, i have to be there at 6.45 on wednesday, thursday, friday, and saturday at 3 to 11, meaning i would miss like, half of cell group.

third, there are SO MANY THINGS TO REMEMBER!!! how long to leave the thing in the oven, how to make things, how to do this, how to do that. and i've only learned like, two major groups of the menu, leaving me with all the deserts, steak and stuff. ARGH!!!

why the heck did i pick to be in this job, i don't know, but at least, it's still a job, so praise the Lord. just now i actually prayed that from now till i resign, maybe next year before going to poly, the business will not be so good, less people will turn up on my shifts, and practically no one will be there during holidays, meaning i get roughly 1.5 times normal pay by shaking leg.

at least the other cooks were nice.

also, heard that the BIG BOSS will be coming down tomorrow, so that pretty much means i'm screwed. zilah's the lucky one, she gets to come at 9, and leaves the same time as me. oh, the unfairness! where is the justice?

hope kinah can make it for grad night. her shift that day is like, 3pm to 11pm. good thing the manager let me go off at 1.

zilah said she wanted to blog about an incident at work today, which i asked her not to. she's nowhere to be seen on the internet world now, though. ah well, guess i'll beat her to it.

i made her a butter croissant sandwich for her break time. i didn't actually do it for her though, i just did it to learn how to do it. she just happened to be there. haha, now that i blogged it first, she'll have a hard time twisting the story to humiliate me :P

heard that edward and fiez are leaving, maybe in january. i guess zilah, kinah and i are leaving somewhere in april or may. if that's the case, i'm gonna work the hardest i can, and i ask the other two to do the same as well. then, we'll all quit on the same day, right after the manager planned the schedule for the week. this way, we would cause maximum impact when we leave. take that, manager.

wanted to use the computer till midnight or something, but i've got to go learn the FREAKING methods to burn food, aka, cook.

cya, soon, i hope.

late into the night, early in the morning. no matter how you look at it, it's still dark outside. 2.24am, folks.

unrelenting rain beating mercilessly down onto the windows of homes, where most people are in deep slumber. in one of these houses, however, a lone figure sits in front of the computer. the constant sound of typing rings throughout the room as the winds continue to howl outside. leaning back onto the semi-soft, red computer chair, JY is unleashing his language prowess onto the poor, defenseless blog, as a revenge for being unable to release any of it during the past month. that's right folks, it's been a month since the O's ended.

some people, well, most people, have gotten jobs for themselves. some work in fast food restaurants, some in cafes, and others as telemarketers or shop assistants. some prefer sitting at home, enjoy the bliss of joblessness, while others are at home, bored out of their skulls and praying for a job. i, would fall into the latter category.

while some may argue that not working is like a daydream in paradise, those that are jobless beg to differ. well, as the saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side.

thus, i have agreed to accompany a friend who happens to be born two hours later than me (yes, i love to repeat that fact) to town for a job interview. actually, i didn't agree, i begged asked her to let me go with her. so, gonna meet her in approximately... 8 hours and 30 minutes, which gives me less than 6 hours to sleep, since i need to wake up early to make up for all the time i would waste lying on my bed, reading the paper, staring blankly into space, etc...

having prayer meeting at church after that. and after that, may be planning to visit a friend who's not doing very well at the moment, but it's just a plan. don't know if i would have time to, or even if that friend would allow me to go down at all. sigh. one step at a time, JY, one step at a time.

sidetrack: why do i keep saying JY instead of my real name? two reasons.
1) i'm too lazy to type out the whole thing.
2) i don't really like my name.

feel awkward just saying it aloud. have been ever since i could remember. wish i could get baptised soon, then i would get an english name which i could choose for my own :) of course, that's not the only reason i want to get baptised, but that's a whole new thing altogether. guess i'm too angmoh-influenced for my own good. another thing i don't like about my name is that NO ONE FRIGGIN SAYS IT RIGHT UNTIL I TELL THEM. and even after i told them, they find it too bothersome to say it properly. for like, 4 years in primary school, i had to live with people calling me "jin you", just because my form teacher got it wrong. you may say, but i thought your form teacher changes every two years. well, this teacher got everyone to say my name as "jin you", and unfortunately some of them followed me into primary three, where they insisted to the teacher that that is how you pronounce my name, making my teacher who, incidentally, got the "yu" part right but called me "jing", repeat the whole affair all over again. thank God for the chinese, un-angmohed teacher in primary 5, who got it right, i think.

was supposed to be in school at 11 to help mr tan set up the computers, but i overslept and woke up at 11:18. turns out gab and kok didn't go too, one having a swollen eye and another still sleeping respectively.

in the end, i didn't go. rained like heck for the whole morning, and the afternoon, and into the night, and now it's still raining. what the heck is wrong with the weather. ah well, it makes for good sleeping, which would contradict the fact that i'm still up and about. well, not really "about", just, you get the picture.

so why am i still up? 3 guesses why. you there, with the pink shirt, pink pants, pink shoes and pink hairband! what? no, it's not because i'm watching tv. any others? how about you, with that pathetic look on your face! wrong, i'm not chatting with anyone. anymore takers? you, in the white shirt, sitting on the red computer chair staring at the screen and typing out into this blog! correct! i am watching naruto!

episode 116-117 now (it's a 1 hour special). slow progress, compared to my record, but my bro's been using the com all the while, so i couldn't watch much.

crap, nothing else to crap about now. guess i'll just go back to naruto.

well, guess it's over...

not that i really look forward to birthdays, but this is kinda the first year that friends have celebrated with me. being born in december, i didn't have the luxury of celebrating together with the whole class in school.

alright, i'll take this opportunity to thank all that have wished me happy birthday in chronological order.

1. james, one and only korean.
2. joann
3. david
4. zilah, finally we're 16!
5. sharon
6. sarah
7. meihui
8. yuting, via sharon's phone
9. weijian
10. anna
11. si qian
12. edward
13. kok quan
14. umesh
15. nani
16. min (included a birthday song :p )

16th birthday, 16 wellwishers. to some it may be very little, but to me, it's more than i had in years.

went out yesterday to renew my passport. when i finally reached the counter, the woman looked at me and said, "today 16?" and i said yes. then she turned to the next counter and asked, "eh, today then 16 can anot?" if she said "no" i would have freaking stood up and slapped her face. after all, this was the second trip there i made in a week.

didn't know where to go next. was supposed to go for an interview in jurong west for some job at a facotry to assemble computer parts, $50 a day, 9-hour shifts. didnt' go in the end cause didn't think it was for me. so somehow i ended up in west mall, applying for a job in sportslink, yea, the place where someone got freaking murdered in public. if this works out, i may have to stay till 10+ on some nights, so if you've got any messages to pass on to the dead guy, let me know, i'll be sure to tell him when i see him.

met up with james, wj and zilah at 5.30. they tried to dissuade zilah and i from the fact that they're gonna celebrate our birthday, but come on, it's zilah and i you're trying to trick. haha.

ate at pastamani, again. mei hui was working so the 30% discount was valid. unfortunately, zilah, who did the ordering, didn't ask for a discount, so we all ended up paying full price.

zilah had to leave shortly after dinner, and wei jian after her, so james and i ended up watching some people carol in front of the giant christmas tree in west mall. they're ok, i guess... not bad, but not that good either. at some points they just sounded like a broken recorder, but hey, it's
Christmas, i'll forgive them.. haha.

after a while james had to leave too, so i ended up going home at only 8+, where before i had planned to stay out past 12. haha. here are some shots of zilah and i at pastamania, and close up shots of the wallet wj and james got me.

jacket for zilah, wallet for me. i'm worth $70 less than zilah.. haha (they forgot to take out the price tag.)

how sweet, the dec 15s...

wj and james' gift. thanks guys! the "jinyu" was drawn by joann eons ago.

this is supposed to be sharon's gift for my last birthday. she just bought a happy meal and passed this to me. quite cute, actually. press the button (rectangular thing in the "grass"), and the ball will jump up and snoopy will head it forward. wonders of spring mechanism...

david treated joann and i to dinner to the night before. norwegian salmon, $14.60. joann and i were about to walk away from the restaurant when we saw the price, until david said he'll pay. ah well.

another pic of it, after i went through it. taken by david using my phone, i didn't realise it looked like a guy folding his arms until i saw it. take a look.

well, guess that's the end of the post. check back next year to see if i still have any friends left :P

2 more days. you guys had better start preparing those thumbs of yours to sms me. haha, just kidding.

slept at 5 somthing yesterday, or rather this morning. at 12pm, i got a call from joann interrupting my dream world, asking me to go out and have lunch with her and kok. freaking tired still need go out. sigh.

at 1pm, i was at the west mall interchange, walking towards west mall to meet joann at the christmas tree. ate at pastamania, with a handy 30% discount from sharon (thanks man! haha). after lunch, we went around looking for birthday presents for isaac.

went over to david's house after that to pass isaac his presents. when we came he was like about to leave with this parents to celebrate his birthday already. david had to stay back cause he has a paper to study for.

stayed awhile at david's house after that. got him to teach me how to play the drums. let me tell you, he's very good at teaching. i managed to get the basics down fast enough, thanks to him. haha. also, watching him play was scary. he was hitting the drums like they would help him score full marks in his exams. he told me his friend was even more pro than him, quite hard to imagine. haha.

been slacking alot these past few days. i've watched 102 episodes of naruto since the 1st of december. nothing much to do, really. sigh.

ah well, cya.

3 more days to B-Day (not D-Day).

so, it's been 11 days since my last post. what have i been up to?

frankly i can't remember much, so i'll tell you what i do remember.

went for LYL zone chalet last saturday! woot!

first went for cell group at a friend's house, then went over to church for service. Newsboys performed there, and their drummer was like so good la... i really want to learn drums... james asked me last week whether i would choose to learn drums or guitar first, and by infering from source A, aka e previous sentence, you should know what i told him :)

anyway, after Newsboys, an Israeli guy who actually performed in fron of the pope came down. David something, his name was. he performed amazing grace first, and his voice was like power man... i never knew a man's voice could go so high, and yet stay stable...

after the service went over white sands near pasir ris mrt station. had dinner at cavana. super ex, but then again, you know me. $3 chicken rice i also not happy le. after that went over to the chalet. you'd think spending 3 days there would make me remember the name, but i forgot. haha.

didn't sleep for the night, went to mac with rachel for breakfast. we also bought jeremiah's breakfast, and we were deciding whether we wanted to "cope" his hash brown. right after we decided and were about to reach into the plastic bag jeremiah appeared out of nowhere :(

went to service again after that. you may ask why, but i also don't know. just decided to tag along with rachel. so glad i did now. i was almost falling asleep during the service, and had to pinch myself to stay awake. when pastor tan was about to pray and lay hands on the cell group leaders, i pray to God that the prescence of the Holy Spirit would be strong in him, and right after that my legs just suddenly gave way and before i knew it, i was kneeling. the Holy Spirit just hit me so suddenly. amazingly my knees didn't hurt. pastor phil pringle (or was it ulf elkman) said something like that, how when the Holy Spirit touches you and you fall, it wouldn't hurt, because His grace is protecting us, something like that.

haven't felt His prescence in a long long time, so i'm glad i went for that service.

went back to cavana for lunch, the others bought while i stood there marveling at the fact that they had the audacity to sell a sausage for $1.50 (or was it $2.50?). headed back to chalet after that, and the rest of the day was normal, with the barbecue where i ate 1 sausage and 1 satay.

packed up on the third morning. again, didn't sleep much. also, i brought my zenny (yes, it's fixed, praise the Lord) to the chalet, and long story short, by the second day i got everyone addicted to "death note".

went to Lavender to renew my passport today. turns out, i can't do it myself because i. am. three. days. short. of. being. sixteen.

AAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

discrimination!!!! this is preposterous!

good thing my good friend min was kind enough to follow me there, so i had some company instead of looking for a shotgun to end my boring misery.

went for prayer meeting at the jurong west church building. after it ended, i was about to go home, but winnie called me and asked me to join the carolling training, so i dragged rachel and hanxiang along.

it was fun, and it was even more fun to see rachel struggling to hit the low notes. hanxiang and i hit the high one moderately easily, so we were qualified to laugh at rachel. i even changed part of the songs to mock her :P

so, anyways, now i'm home, and there's nothing more to talk about.

cya.

5.50am. yeah, that's right. i didn't sleep. why? ask the freaking people at maplestory.

retarded as it was, it got me staying up till 3+. after that, i can't remember what i did, except i watched the first 2 episodes of naruto :) right now i'm just trying to finish blogging before 6.15, when my parents wake up.

so, what have i been up to recently? for starters, i went over to rachel's house after bible study on tuesday to help her clean up her house. she's moving out, see, so gotta clean the house before they leave it. i reached there at 7, the appointed time, knocked, and waited. and waited. and waited. knocked again, and waited. press the doorbell, and waited. called anna, no response. called rachel, no response. waited. and waited. you get the idea.

after a while i called rachel, and thank God she picked up. apparently she was in the car, and would arrive in 15 to 20 minutes time. so what did i do in that time? you guessed it. i waited.

got into the house, and first thing i had to do was to clean the toilet. there were only 2 people there, rach's dad and me, so we had quite alot to do. rachel was MIA.

cleaned the walls, the mirror, the door, the glass door, the basin. didn't bother to do the toilet bowl, though. it looked clean already. haha.

cleaned the other toilet, which was much, much smaller. after that, went on to clean every door in the house, and sometime there rachel decided to show up. think she had bible study, didn't ask.

after the doors it was the kitchen. i tell you, rachel has some scary cupboards in the kitchen. there were two of them that were at the corner, and half the cupboard was dark. neither of us dared to reach in very far since cockroaches have been known to appear from time to time. alright, so shoot me for being afraid of cockroaches.

daniel came later on to help, david and issac arriving later. after the cleaning came the dumping. we must have made like 10, 15 rounds from the house to the big, green, rubbish container. it was empty when we started, but by the time we were done, it was VERY full, and we had to put all the remaining trash by the side, which was quite alot, actually.

managed to salvage some cool stuff before they were thrown away.

cool table. had wheels, so you can sit on it and go all over the place. another plus, it's just the right height to eat from! more meals in front of the com!

a pair of badminton rackets which, as you can see, are still perfectly fine. except for the handle of one of them, but nothing that can't be fixed.

swiss-army knife,

small tripod,

still-functioning speakers, and last of all...

a pencil.

here's a pic of what i found belonging to rach's dad's NS days.

well, my dad's probably awake by now, so i must get out of here before he comes. cya.
