went to watch pirates today with my class mates at vivo.it was great, no matter what people say.abit confusing, withthis person betraying that person, that person in turn betraying another person, who found out and turned the table on that person, stuff like that. also, the part where calypso was released from her human form into her goddess form was kinda lame, with her becoming gigantic and talking with that deep, giant-y voice. but besides that, awesome movie. i suggested to the others to stay till the credits end for the final scene, to see if maybe it would preview the next movie, if there was one. but turns out, the ending scene was stupid, as in, it didn't say much.
spoilers ahead, this is for those who missed the last part. the movie ended with will turner taking over davy jones' place as captain of the flying dutchman, and was thus forced to ferry dead souls from one world to the other forever, and could only come to surface once every ten years for a day. as you know, the movie had will and elizabeth "ensuring the survival of the human race" at the end. the scene after the credits shows elizabeth after ten years going to a shore with her son (presumably 10 years old, otherwise it wouldn't be will's), and the flying dutchman bursts out from the sea, with will turner on it. thats it. after that the people seating beside me were looking at me and going "that's it? we sat through the credits for that? who was the one who suggested this?"
after the movie, we slacked around vivo, and after jill and her friend left us, we went to food republic for dinner, i think, where clinton left us. afterwards we slacked around vivo some more, where i tormented betty with the big red ball story. good thing none of the others knew how it ended, as they didn't have the patience to listen to the whole thing. after that, betty and i left, and the rest probably slacked around in toys 'r us.
2.50 now. i'm supposed to be sleeping since long ago, but alas, the draw of need for speed carbon was to great for me to bear. so i guess i'll end now and maybe get some much needed rest.

And through it all, the rise and fall...
