watched Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest last saturday. it was greeaaattt. at 2h30mins, it was really worth your money. some people may think otherwise, but i feel this movie is better then the first. i love Jack Sparrow's last scene, where he stands alone on the sinking Black Pearl, sword in hand, facing the giant mouth of the Kraken and says," hello, beastie." before jumping straight into its mouth. that scene really showed the real side of Jack, the way his stood his ground on his beloved ship, deciding to go down together with it and doing all he can to kill the Kraken. i loved that scene. for people who haven't watched it yet, i suggest you do so ASAP, before the real o level revision boot camp starts. for people who don't decide to watch it, you are one heck of a dumbass (yes i'm talking about you, "Tankman"). so, in conclusion, watch it.
Monday
had our english oral prelim exams. nothing much to talk about. i did ok in the reading and convo part, i guess, but the picture i didn't so do well. i was about to describe the picture, about where it was happening and all, when mr goh just jumped straight into the question and asked me what the park ranger guy was doing. i was like, er, ok, if you say so... and speaking about mr goh, he freaking only gave us one question when we were supposed to do two! no wonder he seemed so free while the other teachers were still giving the orals... well, anyways, i was describing the picture, and while i was talking, i realised that i had nothing else to talk about after finish my sentence. but, praise the Lord, the moment i finished my sentence the fan blew my paper away. i was sitting there, looking at the paper at the floor about 2-3 metres away, then looked back at mr goh, and he told me to go get it. wj joked about it later, saying that the recording record halfway suddenly got one long silence. lol
that's the end of recap, guys, but fret not, i have a story to tell you guys.
long ago, there was a round egg-man called humpty-dumpty, but people called him Mr. Humpty Dumpty. this man was a teacher, whether qualified or not is not the point, but, he was a teacher.
one day, while conducting a test, he heard some noises outside his class. he came out to investigate, and he found a few boys waiting outside the next class, making some noises. at this point, he decided that he should use his authority to give himself an ego-boost, so he told the students to keep it down. as he turned back to the class, one of the students, while playing with his friends, made some weird noises, and he decided this was damaging to his ego as he thought the boy was mocking him (whether he was or not is entirely up to the reader's view of the story). so, he turned around and demanded to know who was the one made the noise. the boy walked forward to him and Mr. Humpty Dumpty thought that he should use this time to regain what little respect he had, thus, he made the boy sit in his class facing the wall, a punishment only childish teachers think would be humiliating.
as the bell rang, signalling the end of the the period, he told the boy that he did not care what grade student was, he would still give the student an extremely-light-shade-of-red form. by doing this, he thought that it would be enough to scare the student. however, he forgot one thing, that is, the student was in secondary four, thus less susceptible to threats(except for those which of his english teacher,or the curses of his chemistry teacher). he demanded that the student give him his identification card, which the student did nonchalantly, and told him to report to him after school.
as the last bell of the day rang, the student when to the teacher's quarters to look for Mr. Humpty Dumpty. however, the teacher thought that it would be funny to make the student wait, so he took his time. after awhile, he decided to show his face and passed the student an extremely-light-shade-of-red form for him to fill out. after that, he returned the student's identification card and made him promise not to to make noises outside of class and mock teachers again. however, he failed to specify whether the student could do just one of the things and not both...

hm...my blog seems to be getting updated less frequently nowadays... but who cares, not that many people read it anyways :P
so, what's been happening with me in these few days? well, i've took up parkour, together with edward, kok and umesh.we've been doing some basic runs these few days, but that didn't stop us from getting injuries.the first day i started, i was about to jump off this railing and i fell unto the padded floor. still hurt though, but not as much as on concrete. next day my bruise was like palm-sized (not counting the fingers). but, as i keep telling edward and umesh, that is actually the fun of it for me. people who know me know i'm a sucker for pain, glutton for punishment. lol... if there was zero risk involved, there wouldn't be any fun in doing it, would there? i mean, if there was no risk, that would naturally mean no challenge at all, and if that's the case, i would rather go home after school everyday and not go for training.
here's an interesting thing: something might look hard to do at first, but when you do it, you may not find anything difficult about it at all.
i learnt that during one of the trainings. we (me and ed) didn't really know to do so we decided to jump a bench at first, the bench looked kinda high, but we decided to go for it anyways and managed to clear it on the first try :) (see the pick to literally get the picture)
nothing else to talk about now.. till then, cya

Monday (3/7):
went to watch Silent Hill with edward, kok, james, wei jian, zilah, nani and yuting... the movie was ok, not that good, but not that bad either, at least to me... the rest seemed kinda lost... guess i have henzy to thank for that, for lending me Silent Hill 3 to play :p
after that we went to KFC for dinner, with zilah and yuting pangseh-ing us. halfway through, edward called umesh (or the other way round, not sure which) and apparently something happened which displeased edward, and he started getting pissed at umesh. so after dinner we decided to make a few prank calls to him.
i love edward's call. he changed his voice to a funny voice and said to umesh, "hello, just now you disturb my friend right?.....(umesh speaks)........just now, 7 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 5 o'clock, you call him............i don't know the number start with 9..." hahaha so funny... after that i think umesh was about to hang up, so he said, " you wait, you wait, i say you wait that means you wait...my supervisor want to speak with you."
after that he handed me the phone, and i said, "er, hello, ah, i am from the zoo ah... we are looking for a giraffe, very important to us. you live around bukit gombak right? thats where we lost our giraffe." while i was talking he kept saying i got the wrong number, until in the end he hung up. haha, it was more fun then watching the movie, even though it lasted such a short time. after that we headed back home.
Tuesday:
had my chinese oral on tuesday, and it was a total disaster. there were many words in the passage that i didn't know (except one, piao. which is the same word as the jay chou song, piao yi. now who said jay chou couldn't help your exams?). i made a major screw up at one particular word, can't remember what, but when i reached it my mind was blank. i could have just skipped the word, but at the moment i panicked and wasted alot of time on it, and even asked the examiner what word it was, which instantly killed my oral. the freaking examiner could have just told me what it was, instead of asking me to skip it, since it may help me should i choose to retake o lvl chinese later this year.
then came the conversation part. the question was something like this:
"even with so many upgrades and facilities added to the libraries, there are less and less people going to libraries nowadays. give your views."
ask me that in english and i could easily say many many many many things, but in chinese.... it's not like i stoned there, not knowing what to say. the reason for me stoning is because i had no idea how to translate the word from english to chinese. like the word "mystery". i kept thinking about how to say it. they asked, "what kind of books do you think young readers read nowadays?" and the first thing that came to me was mystery (cause of CSI, hahaha), and i kept thinking, mystery, whats mystery in chinese? mystery... then they asked, "what kind of books do you like to read?" mystery, whats mystery in chinese? mystery...
so all in all, i pretty much screwed up my oral. pray that with the listening compre my marks may be pulled up abit more.
Wednesday:
went to Ngee Ann Polytechnic for the open house or something...quite interesting, overall. the place was nice, maybe better than SP. i think if i can, i'll be going to NP and taking digital media, but the sad thing is, we didn't go to the school of film and media studies!!! ah!!!
the part about the trip i liked best was probably the liquid nitrogen part. henzy was seating beside me, and we joked about what if the guy handling the tank of liquid nitrogen accidentally released the nozzle the wrong way. we would have a frozen lab tech . haha
also, the person leading us (joyce) was kinda chio, so we had some eye candy (seemed to be very rare in NP the day we came).
the thing about it is, you have to wait 38.5 minutes for 61 to come...
Saturday:
went to service.. there was this guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Robb Thompson, who came to speak with us, but before that there was this guy frim zimbabwe, i think, whom he brought along. he came onto the stage to sing, and he asked for volunteers, guys and girls. since min and i were seated right at the front, by the side of the stage, the usher spotted us easily. very convenient, one guy one girl. so he asked us to go up to the stage. min thought it was embarassing, but then again, how embarassing can it be when you have more than 10 other people onstage doing the same thing? the guy sang and danced, while teaching us the moves..haha. unfortunately (or fortunately) no one we knew saw or recognised us..haha
the message was also great, he talked about relationships and how to find people who will help you into the future.
well, there we go, 4 days in one post. bye

2 more days to o lvl chinese oral, and what are my plans for tomorrow? watch silent hill with my classmates.
if i were to think about the future, i would say this is suicidal. but then again, we're not going to have another holiday in a LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time.
my brother is going away soon for NS, which means there will be no oneto compete with for the com. i'm not sure i'll miss him.... hmm
France won Brazil! which means maxime has to shave his head! wahahaha!!! and England got kicked out. sigh. oh well.
had a great service on saturday. the prescence ofthe Holy Spirit was strong. pastor laid hands on the cell group leaders and helpers, and they fell back like a domino. that's how strong the prescence was.
nothing to talk about, have a ton of homework i'm putting off till tomorrow, where i'm meeting wj to do it. well, au revoir.
